Chèvre bites with honey and rosemary

DESCRIPTION

One of my favorite appetizers since it’s dead simple and quick to make, goes really well with sparkling wine and is really tasty!

INGREDIENTS (10-15 pieces)

  • 200 g Chèvre (one roll)

  • A couple of slices of sourdough bread or other white bread

  • Dried rosemary

  • A couple of tablespoons of honey

  • A packet of cress

  • Olive oil, salt, freshly ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Put the oven on 220 degrees. Slice the bread into 10-15 pieces (ish). Brush them lightly with olive oil and season with some salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  2. Cut the Chèvre in 12 slices and put on the bread. Sprinkle the cheese with a few sprigs of rosemary per piece.

  3. Roast in the top of the oven until the cheese has melted and it’s a bit golden. Make sure not to burn it, it goes really quick in the end.

  4. Once out from the oven, drizzle with honey and top with some cress or other green stuff. Serve with an ice cold glass of sparkling wine!
